Whiplash (2014) Scene Adaptation

For this project, I directed a reimagined version of the pizzeria scene between Andrew and Nicole from Whiplash. In my interpretation, the scene becomes less about connection and more about evaluation. I wanted to dramatize the moment when Andrew puts Nicole on the spot and tests whether she’s someone who understands or fits into the world he’s devoting his life to.
